Setting a custom number of audio channels

Hello,

Here's a guide on how to set a custom number of audio channels using the MainConcept Codec Plugin for DaVinci Resolve:

Before adding media files to the timeline, Clip Attributes settings of each media file should be set.

1. In the Media, Cut or Edit tab, right-click on the input file(s) and select Clip Attributes.
   
2. Open the Audio tab and choose the Adaptive format with the necessary number of audios.
   
3. After setting the file(s), you can add file(s) to the timeline and proceed with the work.
   
4. Once the work is done, in the Deliver tab, open the Audio tab and select All Timeline Tracks.
   
5. Render the project.
   

Please take into account that there could be format restrictions, e.g., for AS-11 UK DPP HD preset only 4 or 16 audio channels are allowed.

This isn't working for me, any combination results in 16 audio channels. Any ideas?

Hi Paul,

What number of audio channels is your timeline? It should be Adaptive4 the same as the media file(s). There should also be 4 channels in the Track Number settings on the Audio tab of the Deliver tab if you select Timeline Track of Output Track 1 settings.
